Dr. Michael Scott obtained his doctoral degree (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology in 1992 from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale FL. Dr. Scott has a BA in English and Psychology from Queens College, City University of New York.  

Dr. Scott completed an American Psychological Association (APA) approved doctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Manhattan VA Medical Center/Bellevue Medical Center/NYU Medical Center. 

Dr. Scott's doctoral dissertation included a comprehensive review of clinical research  until 1992 regarding the psychotherapeutic treatment of persons diagnosed with AIDS.

Dr. Scott is certified to administer the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a valid and reliable measure of early to moderate cognitive impairment/dementia. Dr. Scott is a Certified Autism Clinical Specialist. he is a certified and active Safe & Sound Protocol therapist. This is a music based intervention to be used with other therapy for ASD, ADHD and PTSD.
