ADHD
Dr. Scott has more than two decades of experience diagnosing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, teens and adults.
ADHD is a NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDER OF CHILDHOOD. It is a condition of the brain that makes it difficult for children to control their behavior. It is one of the most common chronic conditions of childhood. It affects 4% to 12% of school-aged children. ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Specific Learning Disabilities co-occur at high rates and are classified as Neurodevelopmental Disorders. ADHD is considered a life-span disability.
Current research indicates that 30%–80% of people with ASD have diagnostic symptoms of ADHD, and 20%–50% of children with ADHD have diagnostic symptoms of ASD (Kernbach et al., 2018).
